Manorway works completed ahead of schedule and under budget

Works to improve The Manorway in Stanford-le-Hope have now been completed, 2 days ahead of schedule.
Thanks to the speed at which the crews worked, the project has also come in under budget. This means the money left will be used to bring improvements to some of the surrounding streets.

Work to improve The Manorway, Stanford-le-Hope – making the road quieter for use by heavy goods vehicles – is set to get underway soon.
The joint scheme sees Thurrock Council and DP World London Gateway working together to repair and replace the substructure of the road and add a new quieter surface to help dampen down the noise of traffic.

Thurrock Council and DP World London Gateway are working together on a major project to improve The Manorway, Stanford-le-Hope, to make the road quieter for use by heavy goods vehicles (HGVs).
Works will involve repairing and replacing areas of the substructure of the road before a new noise reducing surface layer is added to help dampen the noise of lorries.
