Residents invited to hear how feedback shaped plans for homes in South Ockendon

Following a number of public consultation events for housing developments in South Ockendon, Thurrock Council is now inviting residents back to see how proposals have been revised in response to their feedback.
The proposed housing developments are on the site of the former Culver Centre and Culver Field off Daiglen Drive. Residents that took part in the consultation provided clear and constructive feedback, engaging with the council to help shape initial proposals.

Cllr Rob Gledhill, Leader of Thurrock Council, speaking about the Belmont Road development, said: "I am aware that residents have expressed concerns about access issues to the Thurrock Regeneration Ltd (TRL) Belmont Road housing development site, through Parker Road, as well as to the temporary loss of open space on Parker Road Park whilst the site is developed.

Housing performance report presented to full Council

A report presented to Wednesday's meeting of full Council (31 October) examined the Housing service's performance and key achievements over the past year and looked forward to building work starting on dozens of new council homes in the borough.
