Nuisance motorcyclists to be targeted by council and police

Nuisance motorcyclists in Thurrock will are to be targeted by the long arm of the law thanks to a new focus from Thurrock Council and Essex Police.
A report at next week's Cleaner, Greener, Safer Overview and Scrutiny Committee will hear that joint working will see a crackdown to tackle all aspects of this highly disruptive and dangerous form of anti-social behaviour.

Nuisance bikes targeted in joint operation

Officers from Thurrock Council's Environmental Enforcement and Housing Garages teams joined forces with Essex Police officers in an operation to target nuisance bikers who use un-let council garages to store quad and motorbikes.
In total, officers removed 10 vehicles that they suspect of being stolen or used by anti-social off road motorcyclists. This includes 6 motor bikes, 2 quad bikes and 2 cars. They were all being stored illegally in council garages without permission.
