Help keep people reading by becoming a Home-Link volunteer

27 September 2018
Thurrock libraries are looking for volunteers to help deliver books to people who have difficulty getting to their local library.
Thurrock Council's Home-Link library service sees volunteers visit the homes of people with mobility issues to make sure they have a constant supply of books to read by delivering new books and swapping the old ones for them.
Each library has one round that goes out once a month. Volunteers must have a valid driving licence and will get 40p a mile driving expenses.
