Enjoy the sunshine and see what Thurrock's parks can offer in the school holidays with an action-packed programme of fun Active Parks activities.
Thurrock Council has organised a number of free sports and crafts activity sessions this summer to boost residents' links to nature, the outdoors and the borough’s parks.

Get out in Thurrock's parks this half-term

All the family can enjoy the great outdoors this May half-term by taking part in free, fun park activities.
Following the successful 'Active Parks' Easter programme, which saw more than 300 people participate in events during the Easter school holiday, borough parks will host free morning and afternoon sessions from Tuesday 28 May to Friday 31 May – subject to weather conditions.

Get out and get active at Thurrock's parks this Easter

Children and adults in Thurrock can take part in various park activities during the Easter half-term.
As part of the 'Active Parks' Easter programme, and subject to weather conditions, some parks around the borough will host a series of free morning, afternoon and fun day sessions from Monday 8 April to Monday 22 April. Events are being organised by Thurrock Council and local community groups, and include Easter egg hunts, trails and sports.

The Olympics comes to Tilbury Youth Club

Sporting fever came to Tilbury this summer at the inaugural 'Tilbury Olympic Games', with over 40 local young people taking part.
Organised by Thurrock Council's Inspire Youth Team, there were plenty of activities to try out – team competitions and individual challenges included basketball, football, fitness drills, boxercise, table tennis, dodgeball and kwik cricket.
