Get in the Christmas spirit with Thameside Theatre

You can get into the Christmas spirit early with a trio of classic festive family films being screened at Thameside Theatre on Saturday 23 November.
As well as being family friendly with something for all ages to enjoy, the screenings are also excellent value costing just £1 for each ticket for both children and adults.

Rock for Heroes

Rock 'n' Roll is coming to Thameside Theatre this November to help raise money for wounded veterans across the country.
The 'Rock for Heroes' show will take place at the theatre on Saturday 9 November and promises a fun-filled evening of music made famous by your favourite rock and pop artists including Queen, David Bowie, Spandau Ballet, Bryan Adams, Elton John, AC/DC and more.

Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs 2: The Magic Cutlass

Captain Flinn is set for an adventure at Thameside Theatre in late October.
Les Petits Theatre Company return to the high seas after their hugely successful shows David Walliams’ The First Hippo on the Moon and Adventures in Wonderland.
The Magic Cutlass is the highly anticipated sequel based on the award-winning book by Giles Andreae and Russell Ayto.

Thameside Theatre panto star announced!

Thameside Theatre has announced its star for this year's fantastic pantomime will be... Wes Nelson!
The TV heart-throb appeared in the ITV2 reality series Love Island in 2018, and also Dancing on Ice 2019, where he finished as runner-up.
This ITV hunk is set to mark his debut pantomime performance by playing the role of Dick Whittington at the Thameside Theatre.

Sinatra and Me

A celebrated performer regarded as one of the world's finest Sinatra interpreters will be hitting the stage at Thameside Theatre.
Richard Shelton is an award winning actor and singer who has received many critically acclaimed international reviews for his performances as Sinatra in the show, which comes directly from London's West End and Los Angeles.
The fabulous Denmark Street Big Band will accompany Shelton on stage at theatre in Grays on Saturday 31 August, providing the audience with a wonderful music experience.

Backstage stars take a bow

A group of talented young people who work hard behind the scenes took centre stage at a special show after receiving a letter from Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber congratulating them on their achievements.
Thameside Young Producers was formed in 2013 by Franki McEwen and is based at Thameside Theatre in Grays. It gives young people aged 14 to 19 years-old an opportunity to learn the skills they need to work backstage in a theatre, including lighting design, sound and stage management, as well as event management and front of house operations.

Tribute trio coming to the Thameside Theatre

Music lovers are in for a treat this summer with the Thameside Theatre playing host to a trio of fantastic tribute acts.
The series of shows begins with the UK’s number 1 David Bowie tribute act, Ultimate Bowie, coming to the theatre in Grays on Saturday 1 June. Starring Ed Blaney, the show captures the essence and authenticity of David Bowie, and will be sure to have you singing along to classics from Space Oddity to Let's Dance and the latest massive hit, Blackstar.

MAGIC! The Tour, starring accomplished magicians JezO and Doctor Bondini, is set to hit the stage on Saturday 4 May.
The magical duo have travelled the UK and beyond with their dazzling individual shows, and now collaborate on a show very much for today.
Bondini is known for his grand illusions, spellbinding storytelling and retro style of beautiful magic, while JezO is the master of mayhem and side-splitting comedy magic.

Beautiful Minds cinema club

A series of dementia-friendly film screenings are coming to the Thameside Theatre in Grays.
The theatre's Beautiful Minds cinema club provides dementia-friendly film screenings so that people living with dementia can spend quality time with their loved ones and carers in a supportive environment without the anxiety that visiting the cinema might cause.
A variety of films are lined up for everyone to enjoy and tickets are just £5, which includes refreshments and entertainment prior to each screening.

KD Theatre Productions wowed audiences at the theatre in Grays with their sell out performances of The Wizard of Oz last year and they are back again next month with another classic.
