Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Arisdale Avenue, South Ockendon, Phase 2

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above on 21 March 2024, the Order will come into force on 18 April 2024.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new Waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the locations specified below:

i) at the junction of Arisdale Avenue/Windstar Drive on both sides of Windstar Drive to a point in line with the west boundary wall of 1-73 Windstar Drive in a west direction along the kerb line for a distance of 13m
ii) on the north side of Windstar Drive from the west boundary wall of the building 1-73 in an east direction along the north kerb line for a distance of 47m
iii) on the north side of Windstar Drive from a point 10m west of the west boundary wall of the building 75-155 in an east direction along the north kerb line for a distance of 63m
iv) on the north side of Windstar Drive from a point 9m west of the west boundary wall of the building 157-237 in an east direction along the north kerb line for a distance of 59m
v) at the junction of Windstar Drive/Verona Way
vi) at the junction of Windstar Drive/Park Way
vii) at the junction of Windstar Drive/Windstar Drive adjacent to 14 Windstar Drive
viii) on both sides of Verona Way from the shared boundary of 4 and 5 Verona Way to a point 3.5m east of the common boundary wall of 7 and 8 Verona Way
ix) at the junction of Verona Way/Park Way and opposite the junction
x) on the east side of Windstar Drive 3m north of the south boundary wall of 26 Windstar Drive in a south direction then east direction along the kerb line for a distance of 43m
xi) on the west side of Windstar Drive 2m north of the south boundary wall of 26 Windstar Drive in a south direction along the kerb line for distance of 31m
xii) on the east side of Windstar Drive from the north boundary wall of Ambrose Court in a north direction then in an east direction along the kerb line for a distance of 80m
xiii) on the south side of Vanette Way from a point 9m west of the east property wall of 13 Vanette Way in an east direction along the kerb line for a distance of 13m
xiv) on the north side of Vanette Way from a point 9m west of the east property wall of 13 Vanette Way in an east direction then north direction along the kerb line for a distance of 22m
xv) at the junction of Vanette Way/Vanette Way and opposite the junction adjacent to 9 Vanette Way
xvi) on the east side of Windstar Drive from a point 7m south of the north boundary wall of Culthbert Court, in a north direction along the kerb line for a distance of 28m
xvii) on the west side of Park Way from a point 2m south of the north boundary wall of Cuthbert court, in a north direction then west direction along the kerb line for a distance of 8m
xviii) on the west side of Windstar Drive from a point 6m north of south boundary wall of Ambrose Court in a south direction, west direction then north direction along the kerb line for a distance of 39m

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans will be available for inspection for a period of 21 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL during normal office hours and on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers to conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been compiled with, may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
