Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic

Buckingham Hill Road, Linford

1) The Borough Council of Thurrock is satisfied that it is necessary to restrict or prohibit traffic in the above road without delay because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road.

2) The Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, has therefore made the following Notice:

- Prohibit any vehicles from travelling along Buckingham Hill Road between its junctions with London Road and Waltons Hall Lane.

3) The purpose of the Notice is to enable Thurrock Council to carry out urgent works to the carriageway.

4) The alternative route for southbound vehicles will be Buckingham Hill Road, Stanford Road, Orsett Cock Interchange, Entry on slip to A13 westbound, A13, Exit slip to A1089, A1089 southbound, Exit to Marshfoot Road, Marshfoot Road, Marshfoot Road Roundabout, Marshfoot Road, St Chads Road Roundabout, Chadwell Hill, Linford Road, Muckingford Road, and East Tilbury Road and vice versa for northbound vehicles. Access will be
maintained for residents.

5) The Notice comes into force 29th April 2026 at 19:00hrs and will be valid for 5 days. It is however expected that the works will be completed over two nights. It will apply only on those days and during those times when indicated on site by the presence of the appropriate traffic signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
