PROVISION OF SPEED CUSHIONS ON LONDON ROAD, PURFLEET-ON-THAMES
Section 90, Provision of speed cushions
11) The Borough Council of Thurrock gives notice that under Section 90 of the Highways Act 1980 and all other enabling powers, it is considering a proposal to install Speed Cushions on London Road, Purfleet-on-Thames at the following locations:-
On London Road, approximately 15 m west of the junction with Harrison Wharf.
On London Road, approximately 8 m east of the eastern wall of 6 Botany Terrace.
On London Road, approximately 70 m east of the eastern wall of 6 Botany Terrace.
On London Road, approximately 150 m east of the eastern wall of 6 Botany Terrace.
On London Road, outside Station Terrace.
On London Road, approximately 15 m west of the junction with Beacon Hill.
On London Road, approximately 24 m west of the western wall of 15 Riverview.
On London Road, approximately 4 m east of the eastern wall of 1 Riverview.
On London Road, approximately 17 m east of the junction with Linnet Way.
2) The speed cushions would be installed in 9 sets of 2. The cushions would have a maximum width of 2 metres, and length of 3 metres long and have a maximum height of 100 millimetres.
3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via transportdelivery@thurrock.gov.uk. 4) Any person wishing to comment on the proposals should do so in writing and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to transportdelivery@thurrock.gov.uk. by no later than 15th October 2026
