Temporary Prohibition or Restriction of Traffic
Ruskin Road, Chadwell St Marys - No Waiting At Any Time
1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers under sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (hereinafter referred to as “the 1984 Act”) and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order (“the Proposed Order”).
2) The general effect of the Order would be:
- To revoke “No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm” parking restriction at the location(s) specified below:
- On the western side of Ruskin Road, from the northern kerbline of River View in a northerly direction for a distance of 25m
- On the eastern side of Ruskin Road, from the northern kerbline of River View in a northerly direction for a distance of 16m
- On the northern side of River View from the western kerbline of Ruskin Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 10m
- On the northern side of River View from the eastern kerbline of Ruskin Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 15m
- To implement “No Waiting At Any Time” parking restriction at the location(s) specified below:

- On both sides of Ruskin Road, from the northern kerbline of River view in northerly direction for a distance of 16m
- On the northern side of River View from the western kerbline of Ruskin Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 10m
- On the northern side of River View from the eastern kerbline of Ruskin Road in an easterly direction for a distance of 15m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be viewed on Thurrock Council’s website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices. Alternatively the proposals can be viewed by appointment during normal office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm) by contacting the Transport Delivery Team via troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk. 4) Any support/objection to the Proposed Order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 5th February 2026. Any comments may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
