Admissions timetable
The timetable for applying for a secondary school place is as follows.
Transfer to secondary school – year 7
If your child was born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016, you must apply for a secondary school place for September 2027.

| Tuesday 1 September 2026 | Application period opens at 12:00am |
| Saturday 31 October 2026 | Application period closes for on-time applications |
| Monday 1 March 2027 | Notification of offers are available from 12:00am |
Applications received after the closing date are treated as late applications. This means there will be far less chance of your child being offered a place at the school you want.
Transfer to studio school – year 10
If your child was born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013, you must apply for a studio school place for September 2027.

Applications received after the closing date are treated as late applications. This means there will be far less chance of your child being offered a place at the school you want.
Transfer to another school between September 2026 and July 2027
You can apply for your child's transfer to another school – called an in-year application.

You should complete your application in good time to have the best chance of getting a place at a school you would like your child to attend. We work to process in-year applications within 15 school days.
