Family Information Service

Our Family Information Service (FIS) provides information and advice on childcare and family support services in Thurrock.

This service is for parents and carers with children up to their 25th birthday, and for those about to start a family in Thurrock. It is free, impartial and tailored to individual needs.

FIS information and advice includes:

  • early education options
  • getting help with childcare costs
  • finding family support services
  • activities for children, young people and families
  • managing the right balance between work and life
  • the local offer for those with special educational needs or disabilities
