10am to midday | Local Area Coordinator (LAC) | No session 2 January. Local Area Coordinators help people find ways to make a better life. Based in towns and villages around Thurrock, they know the local people – those who need help, and those who can offer different types of help. Book in advance. |
10:45am to 11:30am | Bookstart toddler | Book 1 of 2 dates: either 9 January or 16 January. For ages 24 months to 60 months. Book in advance. |
11am to midday | Let's talk about potty training | 23 January. For ages 24 months to 60 months. An interactive session to help families gain knowledge and understanding about potty training. Book in advance. |
11am to midday | Fun with construction toys | 30 January. For ages 24 months to 60 months. Book in advance. |
1:30pm to 2:30pm | Baby massage | No session 2 January. For ages 0 to 12 months. The baby massage course offers a wonderful opportunity for you to bond and learn how to communicate with your baby through nurturing touch and massage in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Book in advance. |

1:30pm to 2:30pm | Let's talk with your baby | For ages 3 months to 12 months. A programme to promote positive adult-child interaction, communication skills, attachment and stimulation in a rich environment through interactive, fun activities. Book in advance. |
Thursdays

9am to 1pm | 2 year-olds development assessment checks | Health and development assessment to check your child's weight, height, learning, diet and behaviour. Book in advance. |
1pm to 3pm | Parent outreach service | 26 January. Parent outreach workers provide high quality support and parental outreach services to families in their own home with a series of home visits. Parent outreach workers will also support parents to access and use services at the children's centre and in the community. Book in advance. |
2pm to 4pm | Changing Pathways | Drop-in session for parents and carers. Changing Pathways provides emergency accommodation, help, advice, counselling and support for women and their children suffering domestic abuse. |
2pm to 4pm | Next Door Nature project | 12 January. Session run by Essex Wildlife Trust. For more information and to book in advance, email nextdoornature@essexwt.org.uk |
