Mondays

Time Activity Details
9:30am to 10:15am Story and rhyme time No session 1 April. For ages 12 months to 60 months. All welcome.
10:30am to 11:30am Child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) For ages 0 to 19 years, or up to 25 years for young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). By referral only.
10:45am to 11:45am Gardening group No session 1 April. For ages 12 months to 60 months. Lots of fun activities in the garden for families with children. Please wear appropriate clothing. All welcome.
1:30pm to 2:30pm Let's talk with your baby No session 1 April. For ages 3 months to 12 months. A 4-week programme to promote positive adult-child interaction, communication skills, attachment and stimulation in a rich environment through interactive, fun activities. Book in advance.

Tuesdays

Time Activity Details
9am to 5pm Midwife appointments Pre-natal checks, advice and support for you and your baby. Book in advance.
10am to midday Parents 1st – coffee morning 9 April. Parents 1st provides support and information on pregnancy, birth and becoming a parent, provided by other parents. This is for families who are due to have a baby – during pregnancy, up to 3 to 6 months – and will become parents for the first time. Drop-in session.
10am to midday Empowering parents, empowering communities (EPEC) – coffee morning 16 April. EPEC is a parenting group run by parents for parents with babies of ages 0 to 8 months. Parents will learn how to use a range of parenting skills, understand their children's feelings and develop a closer parent-child relationship. Book in advance.
1pm to 3pm Infant feeding Support sessions for you to discuss any matters relating to feeding your baby – for example, breastfeeding, formula feeding and introducing solid foods. Book in advance by phoning 0300 300 1999.

Wednesdays

Time Activity Details
9am to 2:30pm Midwife appointments Pre-natal checks, advice and support for you and your baby. Book in advance.
9:30am to 11am Baby weighing clinic Drop-in session for ages 0 to 60 months. All welcome.
1:30pm to 2:30pm Baby massage From 10 April. For ages 0 to 12 months. A 4-week course that offers a wonderful opportunity for you to bond and learn how to communicate with your baby through nurturing touch and massage in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Book in advance.
2:30pm to 3:45pm One Community – Steps to success job club opportunity Drop-in session for parents and carers who receive Universal Credit.

Thursdays

Time Activity Details
9am to 1pm 1 year-olds and 2 year-olds development assessment checks Health and development assessment to check your child's weight, height, learning, diet and behaviour. Book in advance.
9:30am to 3:30pm Domestic abuse and violence support with Changing Pathways Drop-in support for parents and carers.
10am to 11:30am Easter event 4 April. For ages 0 to 11 years. Book in advance.
10am to midday Local Area Coordinator (LAC) 25 April. Local Area Coordinators help people find ways to make a better life. Based in towns and villages around Thurrock, they know the local people – those who need help, and those who can offer different types of help. Book in advance.
11am to 12:30pm In person pre-natal and post-natal exercise classes 18, 25 April. At East Tilbury Village Hall, Princess Margaret Road, East Tilbury, RM18 8SB. For mothers with a 0-to-6 month-old baby. You could improve your fitness, bladder control, posture, core strength, wellbeing and mood. Suitable for all fitness levels. Book in advance by phoning Tilbury Family Hub on 01375 858 243.
12:30pm to 3:30pm Parent outreach service – advice session 18 April. Parent outreach workers provide high quality support and parental outreach services to families in their own home with a series of home visits. Parent outreach workers will also support parents to access and use services at family hubs and in the community. Book in advance.
1pm to 2:30pm Easter event 4 April. For ages 0 to 11 years. Book in advance.

Fridays

Time Activity Details
9:30am to 10:30am Stay and play For ages 24 months to 60 months. Fun activities for you and your child. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. The session also shares ideas to support your child's learning at home. All welcome.
11am to midday Stay and play For ages 12 months to 24 months. Fun activities for you and your child. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. The session also shares ideas to support your child's learning at home. All welcome.
