9:30am to 10:30am Stay and play No session 25 July. For ages 24 months to 60 months. Fun activities for you and your child. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. The session also shares ideas to support your child's learning at home. All welcome.

11am to midday Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) – you are not alone Last session 4 July. For parents and carers. Book in advance.
2pm to 3pm Stay and play No session 25 July. For ages 24 months to 60 months. Fun activities for you and your child. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. The session also shares ideas to support your child's learning at home. All welcome.

Wednesdays

Time Activity Notes
9am to 1pm Parents First – breastfeeding support Support and information on pregnancy, birth and becoming a parent, provided by other parents. This is for families who are due to have a baby – during pregnancy, up to 3-to-6 months – and will become parents for the first time. All welcome.
9am to 4pm Midwife appointments Pre-natal checks, advice and support for you and your baby. Book in advance.
9:15am to 10:15am Bookstart corner For ages 12 months to 30 months. A Booktrust programme to support families to develop a love of stories, books and rhymes to help their children's early reading skills. Book in advance.
9:15am to 10:15am Baby massage For ages 0 to 12 months. The baby massage course offers a wonderful opportunity for you to bond and learn how to communicate with your baby through nurturing touch and massage in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Book in advance.
10:30am to 11:30am Special educational needs and disability (SEND) – Just for You No session 6, 27 July. For children with additional support needs, ages 0 to 60 months. Fun activities for you and your child. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. The session also shares ideas to support your child's learning at home. All welcome.
11am to midday Fun, food and fitness For ages 18 months to 60 months. Fun, physical activities and ideas to keep your child healthy and fit. An opportunity for your child to try different types of food each week and for parents to receive advice on healthy eating including fussy eating and portion sizes. Book in advance.
1:15pm to 2:15pm Let's talk with your toddler For ages 12 months to 24 months. A programme to support your child's communication and language skills, including advice and strategies you can use in the home. Book in advance.
2pm to 3pm Stay and play – worlds of discovery No session 27 July. For ages 0 to 12 months. Fun activities for you and your baby. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. The session also shares ideas to support your child's learning at home. All welcome.

Thursdays

Time Activity Notes
9:30am to 11am Chatterbox For ages 18 months to 60 months. A structured language group running for 6 to 8 weeks providing support, advice and guidance to help your child develop their communications skills. By referral only.
9:30am to 11am Phonics fun for little ones 7, 14 July. For parents, carers and their children. Book in advance by phoning Thurrock Adult Community College on 01375 372 476.
9:30am to 11am Parental Outreach advice session 21 July. Parent outreach workers provide high quality support and parental outreach services to families in their own home with a series of home visits. Parent outreach workers will also support parents to access and use services at the children's centre and in the community. Book in advance.
2:45pm to 3:45pm Baby massage At Acorns Community Centre, Headon Hall, Crawford Avenue, Stifford Clays, RM16 2AS. For ages 0 to 12 months. The baby massage course offers a wonderful opportunity for you to bond and learn how to communicate with your baby through nurturing touch and massage in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Book in advance.
2:45pm to 3:45pm English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) 4-week programme. A club for parents and carers to develop their speaking and listening skills in English with friends. Book in advance.

11am to midday Story and rhyme session 1, 8 July. At Drake Road Community Centre, Chafford Hundred, RM16 6PS. For ages 24 months to 60 months. Fun activities for you and your child. The sessions promote social skills and stimulation to support your child's development. The session also shares ideas to support your child's learning at home. Book in advance.
11am to midday Brighter Futures babies group For ages 0 to 12 months. This group is for first-time parents and for parents where there is a large age gap who have had a baby during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It gives parents and baby a chance to socialise and meet others, and for parents to learn new skills to support their babies learning and development. Book in advance.
