Domestic abuse

Information for professionals

Our protocol regarding homeless victims / survivors of violence in Thurrock was produced jointly with Changing Pathways and SERICC.

Our commissioning strategy for domestic abuse was produced jointly with Essex County Council and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.

The J9 Domestic Abuse Initiative provides training to increase knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse. Details of the initiative across Essex and Thurrock are maintained online by the Southend, Essex and Thurrock Domestic Abuse (SETDAB) partnership.

Go to SETDAB: J9 initiative for training dates and to download the J9 Information Pack.

'J9' was named in memory of Janine Mundy, who was killed by her estranged husband while he was on police bail.
