Children's Social Care Structure

Request: 

1. Please provide a Children’s Services structure chart indicating names of post holders ideally down to and including Service Managers. Please include your Principal Officer.

2. Who within both Children’s Services and Human Resources takes lead responsibility for child protection social workers?

3. Please provide a copy of any strategy document you have that addresses recruitment and retention of such social workers.

4. If you have a Recruitment and Retention Strategy Group (or similar) please provide the minutes of the last meeting.

Response: 

An anonymised structure chart is attached (Appendix A).  We do not release names of staff below Director level.

Rory Patterson, Corporate Director of Children’s Services.  Children’s Services has a HR Business Partner based within Human Resources (name cannot be released as below Director level).

We do not have a specific strategy document relating to Child Protection Social Workers.  The Salary Supplement Guidance used to attract and retain our social workers is attached (Appendix B).  

The minutes of the last Recruitment and Retention Board for Social Workers is attached (Appendix C).
