Thurrock Councils Contaminated Land Register is up to date and contains no records. The 2012 Contaminated Land Guidance issued by DEFRA for the declaration of contaminated land states “The record should be made publicly available by means to be decided by the authority.” To make the information available through a link on the Thurrock Council website would be the preferred method of informing members of the public and others of the declaration.
