Highways Improvements

Request: 

I am requesting information relating to road / highway projects (e.g. roundabout improvements, new roads and junctions, major road resurfacing) funded or contributed to by your council from its capital budget and budgeted to cost over £500,000 or more.
I require data relating to any applicable projects carried out during the tax periods of 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-present date. Of such projects, please provide the following information:
• Project name or description (e.g. Bell Lane roundabout improvements, M1 Junction XX works)
• Start date
• Planned delivery date
• Actual delivery date
• Planned budget
• Actual spend

Response: 

There are two schemes managed by Highways Major Projects costing £500K or more as follows. Regarding the ‘Start Date’, we have taken this to mean the start of site works.

A13 Widening

Start date: December 2017 (preparatory works)

Planned delivery date: Autumn 2020

Actual delivery date: N/A

Planned budget: £78.9m

Actual spend: N/A

Stanford le Hope Transport Package

Start date: March 2019 (demolition of station buildings)

Planned delivery date August 2021/August 2022 (subject to approval of procurement route and construction option)

Planned budget: £19.09m 

Actual spend: N/A
