How many of your housing applicants, between 1st July 2019 and 1st August 2019, with a net income exceeding the caps set by the council in relation to their bedroom allowance were successful in all stages of the application, bidding and information/documentation verification processes, despite having a net income that exceeded the threshold set.
In July 2019 62 new tenancies started and the applicants were therefore successful through all stages of application/assessment.
Of these 62 - 9 were Thurrock Council tenants or tenants of Housing Associations within Thurrock and are not subject to any financial caps, therefore financial information is not asked of the tenant and so no financial assessments were carried out on these 9.
The remaining 53 - 1 exceeded the financial cap set due to the applicant being awarded a priority within a reasonable preference group, they not subject to Thurrock financial caps.
