Latest Proposals for State Cinema Grays

Request: 

Regarding the refurbishment of State cinema, George Street, Grays, RM17 6LZ. Planning permission and Listed Building Consent for a scheme were granted on 20th August 2018, references 17/01616/FUL and 17/01617/LBC. This was never implemented, and we know that new proposals have been lodged with Thurrock Council but not yet validated as a planning application. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the CTA and the C20 Soc request to see:

1. The latest version of plans and proposals for this refurbishment as submitted
2. All correspondence regarding these proposals between Thurrock Council, Essex County Council Conservation team, and Historic England since 1st January 2019

Response: 

1. In issuing our response the council have applied S22 of the Freedom of Information Act. This means that the council does hold this information and it is intended for publication at a future date. You are advised to refer to the council’s website where this information will be published.

2. The only correspondence we have in our possession has been marked ‘for internal circulation only’ by the provider, and as such cannot be released.
