Roughly how many older people clients does the council Commission personal care for?

Is the council in need of more social care providers and if so under which clientele group is there a need?

What is the hourly charge rate the local authority pays for 1 hour of commissioned older people care?

Does Thurrock council operate a block / spot provider system or is there a dynamic purchasing framework in place?

How many care providers currently work with the borough?

Last but not least, as a newly registered care agency, what is the formal process of registering our presence with the council and is the council prepared to work with newly registered agencies or must one be CQC rated?

  1. Roughly how many older people clients does the council Commission personal care for? As at 25th February 2024 there are a total of 533 individuals with an active commissioned Homecare Service
  1. Is the council in need of more social care providers and if so under which clientele group is there a need? We currently have enough capacity to meet demand
  1. What is the hourly charge rate the local authority pays for 1 hour of commissioned older people care? As at 25th February 2024 the average hourly cost of a homecare service commissioned against the ‘Older People’ budget code is £20.13
  1. Does Thurrock council operate a block / spot provider system or is there a dynamic purchasing framework in place? Framework which is spot purchased against, no DPS
  1. How many care providers currently work with the borough? As at 25th February 2024 there are a total of 17 providers with an active commissioned Homecare Service
  1. Last but not least, as a newly registered care agency, what is the formal process of registering our presence with the council and is the council prepared to work with newly registered agencies or must one be CQC rated?
