Planning Policy

Publication date:
Monday 20 November 2023
Request:

•           When was your last planning policy public consultation and what stage were you at? (For example, Regulation 19 Publication) Issues and Options 2 14th December 2018 – 8th March 2019

•           How many representations did you receive? 163

•           How many of these were online responses? 118 on the consultation portal and 9 via email

•           how many were postal/letter responses? 36

•           What consultation system did you use to run the consultation? Objective

•           Any other engagement opportunities taken during or outside of the consultation period, such as roadshows (and the number of attendees).

Between 2019 and 2021 we ran a series of charrettes. These involved in person and, during the pandemic, virtual meetings with landowners who had submitted to the call for sites, stakeholders, and the public (this last being town hall style). The first set of events were held in Aveley as a pilot and attendance details are not held. However, we did consider attendance from the public to be good.

At events for the other 8 potential growth areas we engaged a total of 261 people.

We will be making available to the public several documents relating to the charrettes. Keep an eye on our website for these as you may find these useful.

We also attended a number of community fun days throughout the summer in 2022. These were passers-by and no attendance details were kept.

•           If your last consultation was Regulation 19, how many of those responses commented on the Strategy Section/Core Strategy as opposed to the site’s documents, and how many online and postal responses were received related to this? N/A

If your last consultation was not a Regulation 18 Issues and Options consultation, please answer the following questions in addition to the questions outlined above: N/A

         When was your last Regulation 18 Issues and Options consultation?

         What online consultation system did you use?

         How many people responded online?

         How many people responded via post?

         Did you use other engagement methods during or outside of the consultation, if so, what?
