PSPO dispersal powers
1. Please send any communication between executive council officers and your local/regional police authorities, concerning the drafting of your PSPO that includes dispersal powers.
2. Please provide any reports or written evidence supplied by police authorities to executive council officers concerning the inclusion of dispersal powers in your PSPO.
3. Please send any information about the police use of PSPO dispersal powers - for example, the number of 'requests to leave the area' issued.
4. Please supply any information about council enforcement of PSPO dispersal powers - for example, the number of 'requests to leave the area' issued.
1. We currently have 3 PSPO orders in place www.thurrock.gov.uk/public-space-protection-orders/overview. None of which include dispersal powers.
2. The recommendations of the order were agreed by the Community Safety Inspector with no request for inclusion of dispersal powers
3. This would be for Essex Police to respond to.
4. No of requests to leave the area issued by Thurrock Council enforcement officers is NIL.
