Please provide information and responses to the following requests:  

1. Do you provide any specialist provision in your local authority area to meet the needs of girls who have been excluded from, or are not able to attend, mainstream education?

2. In the academic year 2018 to 2019, what was the total capacity and population of pupils in pupil referrals units (PRUs) in your local authority area? Please refer to the following:

Total pupil capacity (numbers of spaces) in PRUs overall;

Total population of girls in PRUs;

Total population of boys in PRUs.

3. In the academic year 2018 to 2019, of the total number of students in PRUs in your local authority area, how many pupil placements ended early (i.e.placement not completed)? Please refer to:

Total numbers of girls, including reasons for placement ending early;

Total numbers of boys, including reasons for placement ending early.

4. In the academic year 2018 to 2019, how many incidents of violent behaviour between pupils (excluding sexual violence), have been recorded across all PRUs in your local authority area? Please give these figures as a total, broken down by:

Total number of incidents;

Total numbers of perpetrators by gender (Boys/Girls);

4. Unfortunately Thurrock Council are unable to provide the information you have requested.
