Road Safety Audits

Publication date:
Thursday 29 August 2019
Request:

Can you please provide me with all Road Safety Audits that have been undertaken on the proposed A13 Widening scheme inclusive of the relocated Orsett Cock roundabout.
Please also provide me with all stages of Road Safety Audits that we’re undertaken on the A13 j/w A1014 The Manorway & B1007 North Hill.

Response:

1.    Please find attached the six road safety audits that we hold for the A13 Widening scheme – Appendix A-F. These include a Stage 1 RSA dated August 2016, a Stage 1 RSA dated September 2018 for the BP Services Eastbound, a Stage 1 RSA dated September 2018 for the  BP access westbound, a Stage 1 RSA dated October 2018 for the Pond Access from A13, a Stage 1 RSA dated October 2018 for the Pond Access from B1007 and a Stage 2 RSA Designer’s Response dated July 2019.

2.    Please find attached document Appendix G - the Stage 3 safety audit for the A13/A1014 Interchange. As this was a Design and Build project, there was not a regular stage 1 or 2 safety audit provided, but departures from standards procedure. However, the Stage 3 Safety Audit was undertaken upon completion of the scheme.
