Request: 

Please provide a copy of the full Spring 2019 school census for Thurrock (showing the number on roll at each school and in each year group), and a copy of any other school censuses for Thurrock taken after Spring 2019.

Regarding the school forecasts for Thurrock in the current 2019-2023 Pupil Place Plan please indicate whether pupil yield figures from consented planning applications are included in forecasts – and the latest date when consented applications were included; and indicate whether pupil yield figures from unconsented residential developments are included in forecasts – and the latest date when any such residential developments were included;

(i) Please provide the Net Capacity Assessment form for each school, or if the school is now an academy, the most recent form which the Council holds.
(ii) Please provide copies of all of the primary and secondary school annual allocations statistics for Thurrock since 2012.
(iii) Please provide data for each year since 2012 showing (a) how many places have been allocated at each school to out of catchment children (detailing from which other schools’ catchment areas) and (b) how many places have been allocated at each school to children living outside Thurrock.

Please provide the capacity and number on roll for the nursery/early years providers in the Grays school planning area, plus any forecasts of demand for nursery places.

Please see attached document (Appendix A) spring census data which is validated.  The most recent census (Summer 2019) is not yet validated and therefore cannot be shared.

Consented applications were included up to 11/04/2019.

(iii) We are unable to provide details of which other schools’ catchment areas children who were allocated out of catchment came from. This information is not captured and reported on after National Offer Day each year and there is no way to retrospectively interrogate the system for this data.

The information regarding annual allocation statistics can be found in the information booklets produced by the council each year. For Primary admissions allocation details are only available from 2015 – present, while the booklets for Secondary admissions show allocation details from 2013 – present. The data contained in each booklet shows how many places have been allocated at each school to out of catchment children. Booklets are attached for ease of reference.

The tables below outlines how many places were allocated at Thurrock schools to children living outside of Thurrock since 2012.
