Request:
Under Section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act how many ‘stopping up’ Orders to remove highway rights have been made by the Secretary of State for Transport involving Palmerston Road,
Grays since 1980?
Response:
Highway records show coloured red areas of adopted highway which have been formally stopped -up. This has been checked along with our files and the old Essex County series adopted plans and we are unable to find any evidence of a formal stopping -up Order within Palmerston Road Grays.
