Response: 

1) Historical data relating to temporary accommodation placements is already in the public domain and maybe found on the following link.

The current number of people from April 2018 to November 2019 placed in temporary accommodation.

  • There is a low number involved.
  • The release of this information could identify individuals which would constitute their personal data under the Data Protection Act
  • There is no prior expectation on the part of these individuals that their personal information would be published in the wider public domain under the FOI Act
  • Personal data of any other person is exempt under section 40 (2) of the Data Protection Act.

In the interests of transparency, however, we are able to provide this information to you categorised as fewer than 5 to give you an indication of the figures

2) Due to changes in the homeless reduction act we are not required to provide data on the number of people placed in temporary accommodation by type. Therefore data is not available on the number of, singles, doubles and families placed in B&B.
