Response:

1. How many properties do you currently have on Temporary Accommodation? We currently pay for 111 units of non-council temporary accommodation.

2. Please can you advise us on the maximum that is paid per night for a Studio, 1 Bed, 2 Bed, 3 Bed & 4 Bed. 1 - £38/night, 2 - £45/night, 3 bed - £55, 4 bed – It is very rare we are provided with properties of this size so we do not hold this data

3. Who are your largest 5 suppliers and how much do you pay them on average every month and provide the last 3 month they have invoiced you for?  - This information is commercially sensitive.  If it were to be in the public realm it would affect competition in the market as well as our relationship with our providers and our ability to negotiate good rates, as they would all be able to freely see what rates we pay each of them.

4. If we were to supply accommodation on this basis, please can you give us contact names and telephone numbers of the procurement team.  – procurement@thurrock.gov.uk, the contact number is 01375 652652, alternatively if you have available properties which you wish us to consider using, please contact our Temporary accommodation Team at TA@thurrock.gov.uk.

If you are dissatisfied with the way in which the council have managed your FOI request you can pursue an Internal Review by contacting us using the above email address. Your request will be considered by a senior member of the Information Management Team who will update you with the outcome of the review.

If you remain unhappy following the outcome of your Internal Review you may wish to refer your case to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and details of this organisation can be found at www.ico.org.uk .
