Light nuisance
Artificial light can cause light nuisance if not used correctly. You can report light nuisance to us and we will investigate.
There are some locations where a high level of light is needed for safety and security reasons. Places where high levels of light are allowed include:
- airports
- bus stations
- defence buildings
- harbours
- lighthouses
- prisons
- railway and tramway premises
All trade, industrial, business premises or outdoor sports facilities should try to prevent light pollution at all times.
