Mayor of Thurrock

The Mayoral Roll of Honour

The Mayoral Roll of Honour recognises those who have made Thurrock a greater place to live, work, and play.

Launched in 2022, the Roll of Honour shines a light on businesses, community groups, charities and individuals who have worked hard to serve our great borough in extraordinary ways.

Thurrock is a dynamic borough with the ambition and economic power to be a new 'square mile' outside of London. Those inducted into the Roll of Honour will have a lasting place in the modern history of our borough.

After you nominate

The Mayor's Office will consider nominations in the order that we receive them, and will confirm details with the 4 councillors named on each. The Mayoral Roll of Honour will be recognised each month and awarded at the discretion of the Mayor.

All those granted the award will:

  • receive a prestigious Certificate of Achievement
  • get a special mention at the start of each monthly Council meeting
  • be listed on the Mayoral Roll of Honour web page

In some cases where nominees deserve recognition but don't qualify for the Roll of Honour, the Mayor will issue a Certificate of Recognition instead.
