We publish totals of potholes we have filled during each accounting year, from April to March.
Totals of potholes found by the council include those noted by council officers:
- during routine safety inspections
- in passing, whilst using the roads
All pothole reports to the council are counted from April 2020 onwards.
In the totals of reports up to March 2020:
- a single report of multiple potholes was counted as one report
- a pothole reported more than once was counted as one report
- a report was counted only if the pothole's size, type and level of risk meant it needed work
Totals of potholes found and reported may not match the total filled because if a pothole is reported towards the end of one quarter, it may not be filled until the next quarter.
