Potholes

Report potholes

We will investigate reported potholes on Thurrock's roads.

After investigating we will make a decision on the action to be taken based on:

  • the size and type of problem
  • the category of the road
  • the level of risk to the public

You can report a pothole online – we investigate reports within 3 working days.

Report online

The quickest and easiest way to report a highway problem is online.

You don't need an account, simply zoom-in on the outline of Thurrock and – if the problem hasn't been reported already – make a new report by using the map to show where the problem is. Tell us as much as you can about the problem to help us investigate. You can check back later for progress updates.

NOTICE Thursday 18 June Reporting highway problems - system downtime.

From 5.30pm on Thursday 18th June,  the usual online service for reporting highway problems will be unavailable due to essential maintenance work – we apologise for any inconvenience. Please do not try to use the service at these times. If you need to report a problem during one of the maintenance periods, you can use our Highways reporting temporary form.  We expect the system to be down for 5/6 days.
