Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above Order on 22 June 2023. The Order will come into force on 28 July 2023.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a 30mph speed limit restriction (reducing from current 40mph speed limit) at the locations below:

a) A1013 Stanford Road, from its junction with Daneholes roundabout to a point 140 metres east of the east kerbline of Baker Street
b) Baker Street in both directions from its junction with A1013 Stanford Road up to the existing 30 miles per hour speed limit 350 metres north

Revoke the existing 40mph speed limit restriction at the locations below:

c) A1013 Stanford Road, from its junction with Daneholes roundabout to a point 140 metres east of the east kerbline of Baker Street
d) Baker Street in both directions from its junction with A1013 Stanford Road up to the existing 30 miles per hour speed limit 350 metres north

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at www.thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers to conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
