Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Angle Road, West Thurrock and South Stifford no.3

Order 2023.

Disabled badge holders parking bay, no waiting at any time, part-footway parking bays

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) to introduce a Disabled Badge Holders Parking Bay at the following location:

i. on the north side of Angle Road, from the common boundary wall of 27 and 28 Angle Road in an east direction for a distance of 6.6m

b) to introduce new waiting restrictions “No Waiting at Any Time” at the following locations:

i. on the west side of Angle Road, from the southernmost flank wall of 535 London Road in a south direction for a distance of 6m
ii. on the south side of Angle Road, from the east flank wall of 3 Angle Road in an east direction for a distance of 5.2m
iii. on the south side of Angle Road, from the east flank wall of 4 Angle Road in an east direction for a distance of 4.4m
iv. on the south side of Angle Road, from a point 1m west of the common boundary wall of 21 and 22 Angle Road, in an east direction to the easternmost limit of Angle Road
v. on the easternmost limit of Angle Road, to the full extent of the width of Angle Road for a distance of 9.5m
vi. on the north side of Angle Road, from a point 2m east of the common boundary wall of 26 and 27 Angle Road in an east direction to the easternmost limit of Angle Road
vii. on the north side of Angle Road, from the common boundary wall of 41 and 43 in a west direction for a distance of 12.8m
viii. on the north side of Angle Road, from the farthest south flank wall of 531 London Road in a southeast direction along the kerb line for a distance of 24.9m

c) to introduce half on footway, half on carriageway parking bays at the following locations:

i. on the south side of Angle Road, from the south flank wall of 535 London Road in a north direction for a distance of 14.2m
ii. on the south side of Angle Road, from the east flank wall of 3 Angle Road in a northwest direction for a distance of 18m
iii. on the south side of Angle Road, from the east flank wall of 4 Angle Road in a west direction for a distance of 10m
iv. on the south side of Angle Road, from a point 1m west of the common boundary wall of 20 and 21 Angle Road, in a west direction for a distance of 19.6m
v. on the south side of Angle Road, from the common boundary wall of 16 and 17 Angle Road, in a west direction for a distance of 41.4m
vi. on the north side of Angle Road, from the common boundary wall of 27 and 28 Angle Road in a west direction for 52.3m
vii. on the north side of Angle Road, from the west flank wall of 40 Angle Road in a northwest direction for a distance of 4.8m
viii. on the north side of Angle Road, from a point 8.4m west of the southern flank wall of 43 Angle Road in a west direction for a distance of 5m
ix. on the north side of Angle Road, from the south flank wall of 531 London Road in a north direction for a distance of 14m

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 28 July 2023. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
