Public notice

Resident Permit Parking Bays P2 Amendment.

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) to revoke "Resident Permit Parking Bays "Permit Holders Only (Zone P2) from Mon-Fri 10am-3pm" at the locations specified below:

(i) on London Road, north side, from a point 20 metres west of its junction with Linnet Way for a distance of 23 metres in a west direction
(ii) on London Road, north side, outside 1 to 16 Riverview Flats
(iii) on London Road, south side, from the east flank wall of 7 Southland Terrace to the east flank of 8 Sussex Terrace
(iv) on London Road, south side, outside 1 to 2/3 Sussex Terrace
(v) on London Road, south side, outside 4 to 8 Riverview Terrace
(VI) On London Road, south side, from a point 75m northwest of the west boundary line of the Purfleet-on-Thames railway station car park in a northwest direction for a distance of 22m
(vii) on London Road from a point 8.5 metres north of the northwest building line of 1 Botany Terrace for a distance of 25.5 metres in a northwest direction
(viii) on London Road from a point 39 metres northwest of the northwest building line of 1 Botany Terrace for a distance of 25 metres in a northwest direction
(ix) on High Street, north side, outside 1 to 5 High Street

b) to revoke "Limited Waiting Bay Mon-Sat 10am-4pm,3 hours, no return within 4 hours" at the locations specified below:

(i) on London Road, south side, outside 10 Riverview Terrace 

c) to revoke "Limited waiting 2hrs no return within 4hrs" at the locations specified below:
 
(i) on London Road, south side, outside 3 Riverview Terrace

d) to introduce Resident Permit Parking Bays "Permit Holders Only (Zone P2) Mon-Sun 08.00am - Midnight" at the locations specified below:
 
(i) on London Road, north side, from a point 25m west of its junction with Linnet Way for a distance of 19 metres in a west direction
(ii) on London Road, north side, from a point 1.5m east of the east property wall of 1 Riverview Flats in a west direction for a distance of 53.5m
(iii) on London Road, south side, from the east flank of 7 Southland Terrace to the east flank of 8A Sussex Terrace
(iv) on London Road south side, from a point 1m east from the common boundary of 10 Riverview Terrace to the common boundary of 2 and 3 Sussex Terrace
(v) on London Road, south side, from the common boundary of 3 and 4A Riverview Terrace to the common boundary of 9 and 10 Riverview Terrace
(vi) on London Road, north side, from a point 8.5 metres northwest of the west flank wall of 1 Botany Terrace for a distance of 25.5 metres in a northwest direction
(vii) on London Road, north side, from a point 39 metres northwest of the northwest building line of 1 Botany Cottages for a distance of 25 metres in a northwest direction
(viii) on High Street, north side, from a point 1.5m northwest of the east property wall of 1 in a west direction to a point 2 metres west of the common boundary wall of 4 and 5 High Street
(ix) on High Street, north side, from a point 2.4m northwest from the common boundary of 6 and 7 High Street in a southeast direction for a distance of 5 metres

e) to introduce "Limited Waiting Bay Mon-Sun 8am-10pm, 3 hours, no return within 4 hours", at the locations specified below:

(i) on London Road, south side, from the common boundary of 9 and 10 Riverview Terrace to a point 1 metre east of the east flank of 10 Riverview Terrace and 1 Sussex Terrace
(ii) on London Road, south side, outside the property 3 Riverview Terrace

f) to introduce "No Waiting at Any Time" at the locations specified below:

(i) on London Road, south side, from a point 75m northwest of the west boundary line of the Purfleet-on-Thames railway station car park in a northwest direction for a distance of 22m
(ii) on London Road, north side, from a point 20 m of the west kerb line of Linnet Way junction, for a distance of 5 metres in a west direction
(iii) on London Road, north side, from the east flank wall of 1 Riverview Flats, for a distance of 1.5 metres in a west direction
(iv) on High Street, north side, from the east flank wall of 6, in an east direction, for a distance of 2.5 metres

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Delivery team by phoning 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made, and sent by post to Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or by email to troconsultations@thurrock.gov.uk, to arrive on or before 16 May 2024. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
