Strategy for Thurrock
Our Waste and Recycling Strategy 2021-2031 set a number of objectives that remain relevant despite the challenges we face since it was adopted. Due to changes in legislation that may directly contradict the strategy, however, it is currently under review to make sure it is fit for purpose.
We remain committed to improving the services we provide for residents whilst reducing our impact on the environment.
We will continue introducing new ways to better manage waste that are more environmentally-friendly. We will also continue working with residents and stakeholders to reduce, recycle and reuse the waste we produce.
Our review of the current strategy is due to be completed by the end of September 2024. We will update this web page after the review has been completed.
