Bidding for assets of community value

Nominations and decisions

We will decide whether a nominated asset of community value should be included on the list within 8 weeks of receiving the nomination form.

When we've decided, our decision and our reasons will be sent to:

  • the nominator
  • the owner of the land
  • the occupier of the land, if different to the owner

In addition, for successful nominations we will send our decision and reasons to:

  • the holder of the freehold estate and the holder of any leasehold estate, if different to the owner
  • the councillors for the ward

Details of successful and unsuccessful nominations will be published on our list of assets of community value.

Assets will be listed for a period of 5 years and be notified to the Land Registry as a registered restriction in the land register for the land, and a Local Land Charge.
