Reporting fly-tipping
Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste.
Even small-scale fly-tipping could cost you a £1,000 fine.
Report fly-tipping
You should tell us if you see someone fly-tipping. It is important for you to tell us:
- the time
- the place
- the vehicle registration number
- the make and model of the vehicle, if you can't get the registration number
- any identifying marks or writing on their vehicle
- what the alleged fly-tippers look like
- the type of waste
We don't clear fly-tipping from private land, private alleyways or private access roads – the private owner is responsible for these.
