There is a duty assessment team and Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub(MASH)  responding to referrals every working day between 9am and 5pm. There is a manager and social worker responding to enquiries in our Family Support Team and Children with Disability Team  on a duty basis every working day between 9 am and 5pm.

Are children's social workers required to provide the contact details for the duty social worker to their email out of office automatic response?

No this is not a requirement. If a caller is concerned about a child the website can be used to contact services https://www.thurrock.gov.uk/reporting-child-abuse/what-to-do-if-youre-worried-about-child
