Performance of hypnotism
You must hold a permit to perform or stage hypnotism in public for entertainment purposes, whether live or broadcast, and you'll need to comply with the relevant legislation.
You won’t need a permit if the hypnotism is for the purpose of scientific demonstration or research, or if you are only hypnotising yourself.
Hypnotism includes:
- any act that makes a person sleep
- any act that puts a person in a trance
