Students congratulated on GCSE success after tough year

Thurrock Council has joined Year 11 students across the borough as they celebrated after receiving their GCSE results today (Thursday 12 August).
Despite COVID-19 disruptions, the students showed their ability to succeed during unprecedented times and once again have gained excellent results across the borough.

A-level results celebrated

Thurrock students are celebrating another successful year of A-level results today (Tuesday 10 August).
Despite challenges posed by the pandemic, Thurrock has seen pupils achieving excellent results this year with looked after children achieving especially well compared to other years.
Cllr Barry Johnson, Cabinet member for children's services, said: "I'd like to congratulate our students for their resilience, determination and the results that they have worked so hard to achieve after what has been a very difficult year with COVID-19 disruptions.
