Congratulations to students receiving their GCSE results

Thurrock students are celebrating after they received their GCSE results today, Thursday 24 August 2023.
Cllr Adam Carter, Cabinet Member for Education, said: "This morning I visited Ormiston Park Academy and Harris Academy Ockendon. I met students receiving their GCSE results and it was wonderful to speak with young people about their grades and what their planned next steps and aspirations are.

Thurrock Council's Cabinet Member for Education has congratulated students after they received their A-Level results today.
Cllr Adam Carter said: "I would like to say a huge well done to everyone who got their A-Level results today. Pupils and staff have worked hard to overcome huge obstacles which faced them as they started their A-level studies in the midst of the COVID pandemic.
"Everyone who has got their results today should be proud of what they have achieved and I would like to congratulate each and every one of them.

We met students receiving their GCSE results and it was wonderful to speak with young people about their grades and what their planned next steps and aspirations are.

Reflecting this uneven impact, and in partnership with partnering local authorities in other areas of the country, we will not be making a statement about the specific results today.
