Summary

'Safe celebration event' is a broad term to cover any type of activity that encourages visitors into a place in a COVID-safe manner, with a view to increasing footfall and ultimately enhancing the local economy whilst improving perceptions of the area and safety in general.

We are looking for an experienced event provider to deliver a series of COVID-safe celebration events at 5 locations around the borough. We will not prescribe the nature of the events but are looking for creative approaches, designed by the event organiser to meet the objectives of this brief. All events will require review and approval before being undertaken.

Event locations are: Grays, Tilbury, South Ockendon, Stanford-le-Hope and Corringham – primarily the town centre of each area.

We are looking for a provider that has a history of, or is capable of, reporting on the level of engagement and satisfaction of those that attend the event, including total visitors to the area during the event, as well as the opinions of surrounding businesses.
