Road safety school events
A number of road safety events are organised each year to help raise awareness of common dangers and the importance of staying safe on our roads. Examples of events and campaigns are listed below.
Theatre in Education
We offer a full 'theatre in education' programme, plus workshops and other performances for school pupils of all ages. These cover road safety topics, including:
- cycling
- seat belt wearing
- speeding
- drink driving
They also cover personal development subjects, like:
- peer group pressure
- decision-making responsibility and consequences
Crucial Crew
Crucial Crew is a personal safety programme for pupils in year 6 of primary school. It is held each year, with several different organisations involved.
Crucial Crew gives pupils the essential skills to keep them safe when they move on to senior school.
