Domestic abuse

Help to change abusive behaviour

The Change Project is for men and women who are using violence and abuse in their relationships and want to change.

The project is a registered charity offering a 'Perpetrator Outreach Service' It can help if:

  • you are worried about your own, your partner's, a friend's or a family member's abusive behaviour
  • people have told you they're worried about your abusive behaviour or are sometimes frightened of you
  • you would like these abusive behaviours to change

The service is open to any resident in Thurrock aged 16 years-old or older, of any background, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.

The Change Project offers group programmes and one-to-one programmes, as well as counselling and support for victims and survivors.

Make the change

Growing up around domestic abuse can shape your behaviour – if you've taken that behaviour into your own relationships, it's time to reflect on your actions and make a change for the people around you.
