Short breaks and time out for carers

Friendship activities at Thurrock Carers Centre

At Thurrock Carers Centre we provide activities for those who are cared for, so their carers can have some free time for themselves.

The Friendship Club

'The Friendship Club' at Thurrock Carers Centre is where those who are cared for can:

  • get involved in a range of activities
  • meet new people
  • have lunch with new friends and old friends at the Friendship Café

As a carer, you can bring them to The Friendship Club either for a morning, an afternoon, or all day while you take a break. We can provide transport to the centre for a small fee, if needed.

Lunch at the café costs extra, or you can bring your own if you prefer.

The centre is open for activities on weekdays only, from:

  • Monday to Friday, from 9:30am to 4pm
