Support for schools

Our school education support strategy – which includes our policy for school Improvement – sets out how we will work in partnership with early years settings, schools, academies, multi-academy trusts, colleges and teaching schools to give children and young people the best start in life.

We want all our schools to:

• be sustainable
• provide high quality learning and skills opportunities, including a rich cultural entitlement
• continue raising standards that improve educational outcomes and meet the needs of our communities

By 2022, we want Thurrock to be in the top 25% of all UK local authorities for the quality and provision of learning across all age groups and abilities.
