Mid-licence inspections
You must submit your vehicle for an MOT test when you first apply for a licence, and then once a year afterwards.
The applicant shall submit the vehicle for a compliance inspection and/or other inspections as the Council may require at one of the Council approved garages as follows:

- upon initial application (regardless of the age of the vehicle)
- annually in respect of vehicles up to 3 years old
- six monthly in respect of vehicles over 3 years old and up to 6 years old
- four monthly in respect of vehicles over 6 years old

Your vehicle licence paper will say when your mid-licence inspections are due.
Your licence may be suspended immediately if you don't submit your vehicle for a compliance test when it's due
