Did you know you might be able to get an average income boost of £2,100 a year, plus payments and discounts worth lots more, by claiming Pension Credit?

If you are above State Pension Age and on a low income, you should sign up for Pension Credit now by visiting www.gov.uk/pensioncredit or calling the Pension Credit claim line on 0800 99 1234.

It is quick to apply – you just need to provide some basic information such as your National Insurance number; information about any income, savings and investments you have; and your bank account details.

It’s really important that you apply for Pension Credit if you are on a low income. It tops up your income, on average by £2,100 per year, and it also unlocks the following which could be worth much more.

If you get Pension Credit you’ll automatically get cold weather payments.

You’ll also be eligible to:
• apply for a free TV licence if you’re aged 75 or over
• get help with NHS costs if you get the Guarantee Credit part of Pension Credit

NHS costs can include things such as prescriptions, dental treatment, glasses and transport costs for hospital appointments.
