Community-led local development

The development and implementation of a community-led local development (CLLD) programme in Tilbury is overseen by the Tilbury Local Action Group.

In developing the strategy, the group consulted locally-based organisations, networks and community partnerships that have strong links with local residents.

The strategy was approved by the group in August 2016, and funding to implement the strategy was approved in October 2018.

Grants and funding to support unemployed or economically inactive people into work

It your organisation helps Tilbury residents into work, you can bid for support funding whenever calls for proposals are invited.

All grant applicants must secure equivalent match funding for their project. A new round of funding will be launched in early 2020.

For more details of the programme, go to Stronger Together: grants for organisations supporting people into work and training.

Grants and funding for businesses

Grants of between £1,000 and £4,000 are available to new businesses or businesses started in the last 12 months. Business frontage improvement grants are available in some areas.

Businesses must provide equivalent match funding. There is no deadline for applications.
